It has been a long couple of years.  My last wedding shoot was before the Pandemic hit.  I'm looking back at the notes I have on how hot it was that night, and again we find ourselves in a heat wave.  We shot these bridals in the morning, in the hopes that we could avoid the 100 degree heat that will melt a bride faster than anything, and make a groom wish he was anywhere else.  This is not the experience I want my couples to have during our photoshoots.  The weather was tolerable on July 10 and we got some great images for the couple to enjoy.  I'll be glad when things cool down, though.  It is always a pleasure to be with couples as they experience their new relationship in terms of God's Temples.  It is a blessing to be able to be there with them and photograph their reactions to one another as they ponder the eternal nature of their upcoming wedding.

My week will be spent editing wedding images for the Fischer/Hunter families. They had a beautiful wedding for their children this weekend on one of the hottest days of the year. It's a good thing I've been shooting images in Maui for the last 20 years, and have plenty of experience with those kinds of conditions. It was a beautiful family wedding, and the end of the reception was a huge surprise and a huge lot of fun. It was wonderful to be able to spend two days at one of our beautiful temple locations with such a great couple. They are a lot of fun, very much in love and have a great future ahead of them. There is nothing equal to a temple wedding, absolutely nothing. The eternal commitments made there are the most beautiful answers for all of our lives.

Jacob reminds me of all the good looking actors that were popular when I was young, Matt Damon, Rob Lowe, Patrick Swazye, particularly Patrick Swazye, don't you think. He letters in multiple sports, so we fit all this into his senior portrait shoot at Indian Creek in Kuna.
